Website and Telephone Services Interruption
On Friday, August 22, 2008 at 5 p.m., all power to Garland City Hall will be turned off to facilitate a power system upgrade for the building. During this outage, the City's website and PLAY Online will be unavailable. Telephone lines to the following PARD facilities will also be affected:
Audubon Recreation Center
Surf and Swim
Senior Activity Center
Parks and Recreation Administration
Website and telephone services are expected to be restored by midnight on Saturday, August 23.
On Friday, August 29, 2008 at 5 p.m., most City of Garland telephone numbers will be temporarily out of service. Telephone service will be restored by 10 a.m on Sunday,

Surf and Swim
Surf and Swim is a 4 acre aquatic complex featuring Wally's Cove splashground, a half million gallon wave pool, great food and drink, and plenty of space for your family to soak up the sun.
At Surf and Swim, you can ride the waves, play in the surf, and be a kid again - without leaving Garland! Little ones can have a splashin' good time in Wally's Cove. Have more fun in the waves with tubes provided free to our guests. No need to bring your own!
The Grill and Chill Cafe is the place to go for great food and icy drinks For a quick treat, try Surfside Snacks where you'll find Dippin' Dots ice cream, Lemon Chills, and other summer favorites. The Surf Shop carries all your last minute needs for a day in the sun. Don't forget a Big Squirt water toy for each of the kids!
Conveniently located in Garland’s Audubon Park; Surf and Swim is located at O'Banion and Oates Road, just minutes from IH 635. Take the Oates Road exit off IH 635 and travel east 1 mile.

2008 Pool Season:
Surf and Swim will open for the Memorial Day weekend Saturday, May 24 - Monday, May 26 and a Sneak Peek Weekend May 31 - June 1. The summer season will begin Thursday, June 5 and run through Sunday, August 24. Surf and Swim will also be open Labor Day weekend Saturday, August 30 - Monday, September 1.

An accurate patron count is required at the time of registration. Maximum number of patrons is 2,000.
Included in the rental time is the Reservee preparation and clean-up. A private party must be paid in full at the time of the reservation. Reservation may be paid over the phone with a credit card, or in person at 634 Apollo Road.
