Day Labor Center

| |
On Friday, November 16, 2001, the City of Garland officially opened the Garland Day Labor Center at 2007 Saturn Road, at Miller Road.
The City built the day labor center for workers to gather in one central location. The center’s purpose is to provide an organized and supervised alternative to street corners for hiring temporary labor and to create an equitable system for the selection of workers. Both contractors and individuals can come to the center to obtain workers. This project is in partnership with the Texas Workforce Commission and the WorkSource for Dallas County.
The Day Labor Center is open 6:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m., Monday through Friday, and 7:00 a.m. to noon on Saturday.
