The City of Garland continues opportunities for public input related to the Envision Garland comprehensive plan project.
The next Growing the Vision! workshop is scheduled Thursday evening, October 30 at Naaman Forest High School from 6-8:30 p.m. Additional workshops will be offered in November and December. Each workshop will have identical discussions; the various dates and locations are intended to aid public attendance.
Residents, businesses, and property owners are invited to participate in this upcoming community workshop to provide input about Garland’s future needs and opportunities.
During last summer’s Community Visioning Workshop participants shared their ideas on Garland. They emphasized Garland as a unique and diverse place that combines a “small town” feel along with the conveniences and amenities of a larger city. Other topics cited include mobility, sustainability, urban design, and the importance of key investments in infrastructure, neighborhoods, and identifiable centers throughout the community.
The fall Growing the Visions! Workshops are intended to dig deeper into those issues.
